Chaplin's Chili is a North Hollywood restaurant founded by Tom Chaplin. It specialises in chili, soups and stews. They sponsored the 3rd Annual On Cinema Oscar Special, with employee Hank Friedmann supervising the table, and the 7th Annual On Oscar Special, with the founder Tom Chaplin reclaiming the brand.

In addition to their main meals, Chaplin's Chili offers crackers, sauces and pickles as accompaniments.

Following the appearance on On Cinema, Chaplin's Chili was bought out by Levinsons Acquisitions, leading to an expansion of stores renamed Chaplin's Soups and Subs. Chaplin's Chili still remains in North Hollywood, but is not affiliated with the re-branded restaurants.

The chili[]

The quality of the chili is disputed. The Chaplin's Chili restaurant was a five time silver award winner at the Inland Empire cook off, and considered by Tom Chaplin as 'one of the most popular restaurant's on the west side for a long time.' However, Tim's alleged diarrhoea was a result of the food, despite calling it 'the best chili [he'd] ever had.'
